Ontdek Jávea
Nature & hiking
The Montgó Natural Park is the green heart of the region. The 753 metre mountain shapes the town's skyline, and the two capes, Cap de Sant Antoni in the north and Cap de la Nau in the south, give Jávea its distinctive coastline.
Montgó summit (PR-CV 355)
The main route to the summit from Jávea, 7.5 km return (3 to 4 hours). Moderate to hard, with a technical final stretch. On clear days you can see Ibiza and Formentera.
Cap de Sant Antoni & the windmills
A loop of around 7 km (2 hours) along the cliff path to the lighthouse, passing eleven historic windmills from the 18th and 19th centuries. Easy to moderate.
Cap de la Nau
Jávea's southernmost point, with spectacular cliffs and fifteen viewpoints along the Ruta de los Miradores. The Cova dels Orgues sea cave lies below it, reachable by boat.
Granadella forest route (PR-CV 354)
A protected forest area of 750 hectares south of Jávea. The full loop is 13.6 km, with shorter variants of 2.5 to 3 hours, along coastal cliffs and old lime kilns.
Montgó Caves
Short, easy-going routes to a prehistoric site, close to the road towards Cap de Sant Antoni. Suitable for families and beginners.
Cova Tallada
A coastal cave at the foot of the cliffs between Jávea and Dénia, reachable on foot or by kayak. Colourful rock walls and a popular spot for snorkelling and diving.
