Back to Discover Jávea

Jávea has a remarkably rich food scene, from two Michelin stars to an honest menu del dia by the harbour. The harbour area (Duanes de la Mar) is the beating heart of the fish restaurants, supplied directly by the local fish market.

BonAmb

Two Michelin star restaurant in a renovated country house. Chef Alberto Ferruz works with vegetables from his own garden and fish from the Mediterranean. Reserve well in advance.

Tula

One Michelin star on the Arenal beach, run by Borja Susilla and Clara Puig. Mediterranean market cuisine with shareable dishes and a tasting menu.

Sotavent

An atmospheric terrace restaurant in the harbour under a canopy of jasmine. Loved for its grilled octopus, fresh fish and an excellent menu del dia.

Azorín

A family-run spot in the harbour, a favourite with locals. Known for its paella and rice dishes, which are best ordered in advance. Fairly priced.

La Fontana

Mediterranean restaurant with sea views, praised for its service and classics such as paella de marisco, pulpo a la brasa and gambas al ajillo.

Posidonia

Beach restaurant at the Arenal with a terrace, specialising in paella and tapas. A local favourite for a relaxed meal overlooking the bay.
